Effective immediately, the Subsistence Payment Program, which provides, Rent, Mortgage, and Utility Assistance program will no longer offer rental assistance. Rental assistance will be available through an Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) administered by the State of California. The ERAP program is scheduled to begin March 2021.
On January 29, 2021, Governor Newsom announced that eviction protections for California renters have been extended through June 30, 2021.
